S - SATISFACTION

U- UNDERSTANDING

K- KINDNESS

H- HONESTY

                                                                          

1. SATISFACTION - The first station of Happiness is SATISFACTION. Here is a small story to illustrate this. 

Once there was a poor man who used to look after the farms of his master. He was a very happy man with his belongings. The poor man was expressing his gratitude to God - " God, I am the happiest person in this world as you have given me food and shelter ". His master overheard his words and disturbed. He then asked him " How come you are the happiest man in this world when you have no money, land, goodwill, name and fame?" The poor man then replied - " Master, you are the happiest man  and left ". 

The moral of the story is that wealth, name and fame is not the only way to Satisfaction. We must be satisfied with what ever we have from our inner heart.

2. UNDERSTANDING - The second station of Happiness is UNDERSTANDING. 

God has gifted us with TIME, THOUGHTS and WORDS. This is the Universal Truth. If you have 500 Crores, however, just 2 minutes before your death, then which is more important? Time or Money? Everything in this world has its own measurement, shape and size. For eg, spectacles, clothes, belt, shoes, cap, bangles, rings, etc. So where is the deadline for wealth and property? 

It is a must to have a deadline. Who is more scared? A man who has 10 Crores or a man who has Rs. 10/-? Why? Because, 10 crores needs security and it brings along tension. A man who has Rs. 10/- can sleep peacefully. Communication is very important as well. Sree Ratnasundar Suriji Marasaheb took this path less travelled because he shared his words.

What is difference between Knowing and Understanding? Knowing is Knowledge and Understanding is Experiencing. For eg. The number One is important for counting, Alphabet A for reading and writing.The day starts with Sunrise. What is the difference between Lease and Ownership? Lease is when you have to leave the property after a period of time and Ownership is for Lifetime. So Knowing is like Lease and Understanding is Ownership.

3. KINDNESS - The third station of Happiness is Kindness. If someone in need asks us for money for a period, we are doubtful whether he really wants it or is he lying? For eg. A donkey once gave news to the king of the jungle- The Lion that there are all kinds of clubs that have opened in the city, like Laughing club, Crying club, Cooking club. However, there was no fighting club as everyone knows how to fight. We have forgotten to Laugh and be Kind.

We doubt our own brother, parents, if they ask for help. 

Here is a short story to illustrate this. There was once a man who gave an imitation ring to his servants child. He later to came to know from his wife that it was a real gold ring. He ran behind and told the servant that the ring is a Gold ring and not an imitation. The servant immediately gave the ring back, however, the man said that I have not come to take the ring back but just wanted to tell you that it is a real one, so keep it with you. 

Kindness is definitely a Station to Happiness.

4. HONESTY - The fourth station of Happiness is HONESTY. We have to be honest with ourselves and at least with our family members, relatives and well wishers. 

Honesty is the Best Policy and an Honest man is never afraid of anything.
