Identify Your Enemies

                                                                        NPL - DAY 7

We might be the bravest, kindest, warmest, most wonderful human being ever known, but we still have enemies? To identify our enemy we need to Know Ourselves.

Our Enemies are:
1. Loss of Emotions:

Respect the Emotions in someone's heart rather than their expression because expression is just a formality and emotions are reality. Like Sweets without sugar, a river without water and Snacks without salt, a man without emotions is of no value. Are we able to understand the feelings of others?
For eg. A man had borrowed 70 lakhs from a rich man. The day when the rich man had come to take his money, he saw that the man had a heart attack and was being taken to the hospital. The rich man went to the hospital and showed his support and uplifted the man by telling him " If you have got a heart attack because of the tension of giving my money back, I am sorry. I don't want my money back but would like you to recover soon. I am also ready to pay for your operation". After few days, the man recovers and came back from the hospital. He informed the rich man that he would pay all his money back within some time with the help of his son. However, the rich man refuses to accept the money. He says, " I have donated the money and do not want it back".
Do we have such feelings in our heart for someone? Are we ready to sacrifice our money for someone's betterment? Have we ever thought of others requirements or only our own needs?
Lets save our emotions.
For eg. If you don't have a sofa set and the other person does not have food, which is more necessary?
Ultimately, which is the decision we would be most proud of? Helping the needy person or buying a sofa set?
Are we emotional towards our family members? Our Parents do favor on us even before our birth. Do we have feelings for them? Emotions bridge thought, feeling, and action  - they operate in every part of a person, they affect many aspects of a person, and the person affects many aspects of the emotions.

2. Loss of Nature(Character):
What is Character? Our character is a quality in us that defines what kind of people we are. Where do we get our characters from? Do we get them by chance or do we earn them? Our characters are composed of our talents, capacities, tendencies, likes, dislikes, loves, hatreds, instincts. attractions and repulsions. A whole list of plusses and minuses.
If the whole world praises us but our own family members do not praise us for our character, then we are a loser. We have to create such a nature that all people love us.
"Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny".
3. Loss of Energy:
We waste a lot of our energy in doing or talking about things that are not necessary. If a thing no longer serves purpose in your life, it is clutter. Clutter can be a physical thing or a belief. Holding on to things that don't feed you will instead eat up your energy. We waster our energy in thinking wrong about others, abusing and criticizing everyone, going to clubs, parties, kitty parties, drinking wine etc. We buy new mobiles frequently. By doing all this we are wasting our strengths - Time, Money, Words and our Body. So lets save our energy for the good things in life.

4. Loss of Moral:

What is Morality? We grow up hearing from our parents telling us what is acceptable for us to do and what is not acceptable for us to do. Therefore, we learn the difference between wrong and right from our parents.Loss of moral is loss of our boundary.Today, it seems like we live in a world of individuals without morals. Nobody seems to care how they are perceived anymore.
Money is safe in our pockets, River is safe between its banks, Lion is safe in its cage. Similarly we are safe in our boundaries. Have we set a boundary in our life? If we have not set a boundary in our life, we are unsafe. For eg. Sita had crossed the boundary line drawn by Lakshmana and was kidnapped by Ravana.
Anyone who crosses the boundary limits is not safe. So lets not compromise on our morality.

5. Loss of You:
Where are we? We have lost ourselves. Try to meditate and talk to yourself and check if you are happy.  Remember a man who is guilty will never be able to talk to himself as he is always scared. And the righteous man can speak to himself for hours as he is not guilty. Identify your own enemies.

Lets save our emotions, energy, morality and character. Lets understand our responsibilities and have good feelings for others.

"Always do what is right. It will gratify half of mankind and astound the other."
