                                                               NPL - Day 9

Life is to be lived, accomplishments require some risk and risks can themselves make life juicy and fun.
Knowledge, experience and life are like a jigsaw puzzle. When we fit all the pieces together correctly, it ends with a beautiful picture - a successful happy life. If the puzzle does not fit together well, it means the pieces are wrongly places and it is time to correct them.

                                                           Shikhar Se Baatein

It is essential to get the most out of life and be the best we can.
1. Be the Master of your Past:
Forgive and Forget. Many of us find forgetting the past nearly impossible, though we forgive the one's who have hurt us. Do not store anything bad that has happened to you in the past. Learn to come out of the past. You have to learn to forget inorder to forgive someone. Say No Entry to all the bad memories.
For eg. A man went to a tailor to get his shirt stitched after a year. The tailor does not use old measurements of the man but takes new measurements to stitch the shirt as the body measurements would have changed in a year.
Similarly, in life we have to learn to let go of the past and forget and forgive anyone who has hurt us, as even they might have changed.
"Every saint has a sinful past, Every sinner has a bright future".

2. Don't Blame:
When something goes wrong, we always try to blame someone else for what has happened. We try to attack another person and never accept it as our responsibility. It's all about how we cause a lot of our own suffering and grief simply because we tell ourselves how things "should" be or what others "should" have done. It's important to be able to separate what is "reality" and what is caused simply by your thoughts. By letting your thoughts start to blame others and to justify to yourself why it is not your fault, you make yourself a victim. You'll also feel like you have no control because something was done to you.
Just because we have a thought, it does not mean its true. Be aware that our thinking is twisting the event.
Great Men, Gentle Men, Good Men - where are we?
It is not easy to stop blaming others. There will always be struggle.
Gravitational force always pulls us down. If we try going against it, we will have to struggle. God's grace uplifts us. For eg. Sleeping is easy compared to sitting, sitting is easy compared to standing, standing is easy compared to walking, walking is easy compared to running and running is easy compared to jumping.

3, Don't Break Heart:
We should not hurt anyone by thoughts, words or action. We should not have a single bad thought for anyone and do not break anyone's heart.
For eg. A small boy was admitted in the hospital in the general ward for diarrhea. The Nurse asked his mother to bring medicines, food and milk. The mother was very poor that she could not afford to buy all those things. Guruji overheard their conversation and asked the nurse to discharge the boy after four hours. In his preachings, Guruji asked all of those who can afford to distribute fruits and milk to all the general ward patients. The boy recovered soon.
Another eg. A man purchased a new car and was ready to go on a tour. His neighbor asks for his car so that he can go to all the holy places. But the car owner refuses to do so and says " The car is for my own use, so I do not want to give" He broke the man's heart very easily.
So. we need to understand others feelings and try not to hurt anyone.

4. Don't Back Answer:
If someone points out at our mistakes even if it is not our fault, do not back answer them. Listen silently. We do not have the strength to listen.
For eg. A wife takes her husband to Guruji to get him a promise that he will never get angry. The man says, no matter what he will still get angry. Guruji asks what is the use if he does not want to stop his anger. His wife says that her husband can at least count from one to hundred when he gets angry. Guruji asked her why her husband has to count from one to hundred. The wife says that atleast she can run away when her husband gets angry.

Guruji says, " I am not God and don't even make me God. I am a saint and can make mistakes. We are always happy in our life as we are away from greed, anger, ego and delusion. In our clothes we don't have pockets(greed), collar(ego), sleeves(rage) and colorful clothes(delusion, maya)." Sugar is a common factor in all sweets. Similarly. Saints and Great Men have the same common factor - Humbleness, Kindness, Forgiveness.

For many of us it is not enough to simply have a life as it happens. It is essential to get the most out of life and be the best we can. We might be probably coping with life, but are we in control of if? We might be successful in some areas of our life, so why not be successful in all aspects of our life? Lets master our past, try not to blame others, break anyone's heart and lets not back answer anyone.
